These record books for Arbroath and area, totalling over 20,000 prescriptions, contain mss. information for each prescription which Mr. Burns filled. It lists the name and address of each person, what the prescription was and instructions for use. A few pages indicate prescriptions to the Epidemic Hospitals. From the overlap of years there appears to be more than one chemist at work. There are several different signatures after the prescriptions and a lot of repeats of these. These could be the doctors involved or simply the chemist writing down the initials of the doctors.
